Good morning and welcome to "Cats & Coffee," a weekly segment, presented by Koffee Kult, in which we serve up an exciting look at what's on deck for your Florida Panthers. Like our friends at Koffee Kult, this forecast serves up only the best -- so sit back, sip and enjoy our latest brew of news, notes and information!

The '90s were great, but it's time to jump ahead a few years.

After revisiting some of the earliest days of the franchise -- including a rodent-filled run all the way to the Stanley Cup Final in 1996 -- FOX Sports Florida will continue its "Panthers Rewind" series this week with a pair of historic and unforgettable contests from within the last decade.

The first of these broadcasts will air on Thursday and highlight the team's preseason trip to Tate Rink in West Point, New York on Oct. 8, 2016. The first-ever NHL game to ever be played at the U.S. Military Academy, Florida registered four unanswered goals in a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.

In addition to the on-ice action, the Panthers also participated in a lot of team-building activities while visiting West Point, which will be highlighted on the @FlaPanthers social media channels.

The second broadcast will take place on Sunday and be centered around Florida's historic 20-round shootout victory over Washington on Dec. 16, 2014. The longest shootout in NHL history, Nick Bjugstad lit the lamp in the 20th round to lift the Panthers to a 2-1 win over the Capitals.

"I asked (former Panthers assistant coach John Madden) at about (round) 10 if they end up going through it again," Bjugstad, who also shot in the fourth round, told reporters after the game. "I didn't think it would happen. It was kind of a hypothetical question, and it happened."

During each broadcast, a few surprises are also to be expected on social media, so make sure to stay tuned to @FlaPanthers and @FOXPanthers on Twitter throughout the classic contests.

DRIEDGER'S CHECK-IN

Chris Driedger is re-discovering his love for Disney while under quarantine.

In speaking with FloridaPanthers.com for a "Cats Check-In" last week, the Panthers goaltender detailed his new routine during the coronavirus pandemic, which currently includes lots of yoga, hiking and working out during the day before hitting the couch to take in some Disney+ at night.

"I don't know what got into me, but I hadn't seen a lot of Disney movies since I was a kid," said. "I was like, "I don't need to watch these movies, they're kids' movies." But we got Disney+ and started watching them, and they've just been unbelievable.

"We're in the middle of Finding Nemo right now. We've watched Cars. We've watched Frozen, which I'd never seen... We've watched the original Lion King, which was my favorite movie when I was 6 years old. Honestly, we've just been hammering through the Disney+."

TERRITORY TROT A SUCCESS

It turns out "The Territory" extends well beyond South Florida.

As part of their continued COVID-19 relief efforts, the Panthers found a ton of success in the organization's first-ever Virtual 5K last month. In the end, the fun and innovative event saw 479 participants lace up their shoes, make a donation and hit the ground running across 24 states.

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU

That's no moon… it's Star Wars Day!

As fans around the world celebrate George Lucas' beloved force-fueled franchise today, we here at the Panthers thought it would be a good time to look back at our favorite moments from previous Star Wars Nights at BB&T Center through a series of pictures, video clips and more.

Of course, we also had to re-visit the time Keith Yandle arrived to the rink as a Stormtrooper.
