EDMONTON, AB - Team Blue came away with the Billy Moores Cup on Thursday night at the Downtown Community Arena, defeating Team White by 9-6 to close out 2022 Oilers Development Camp.
A total of 35 Oilers prospects and camp invites split into Team White and Team Blue for two 20-minute periods, with the first half featuring 10 minutes of 5-on-5 and 4-on-4 hockey and then 4-on-4 and 3-on-3 action in the final half. Forwards Xavier Bourgault and Raphael Lavoie did not participate in the scrimmage.
Team Blue, led offensively by forward James Hamblin (2G, 1A), came back from a 6-4 deficit in the second period by taking advantage at 3-on-3 in the second half's final 10 minutes, scoring five unanswered markers.
