EDMONTON, AB - Jack Quinn was one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the Ontario Hockey League last season, lighting the lamp 52 times in 62 games for the Ottawa 67's.
The right-winger was one of several high-scoring forwards on the juggernaut 67's squad that led the OHL with 101 points when their season was abruptly halted in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Quinn was one of five Ottawa players in the top 15 in OHL scoring, increasing his goal total by 40 and his point total by 57 year over year as he enters the 2020 NHL Draft as NHL Central Scouting's seventh-ranked North American skater.

"Jack is smart and plays a hard-driving game with good speed and instincts to execute plays and produce offence," NHL Central Scouting Director Marr told NHL.com's Mike Morreale. "He's clever and poised with the puck, competes responsibly to play a two-way game. There's a lot of upside potential."
The 6-foot-0, 176-pound Quinn said he models his game after T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals. The Cobden, Ontario native attributed his significant increase in production in his sophomore OHL campaign to his commitment to off-season speed and strength training.
"I think my game has come a long way in terms of attention to detail with playing a 200-foot game," Quinn told Morreale. "I feel playing with speed is a big factor in the game. It allows you to also use your brain and make those plays. If you don't have [speed], you can still make the plays but maybe won't be fast enough to get into position to make a play."
As a result of Phase 2 of the NHL Draft Lottery, the Oilers will make the 14th-overall selection in the first round of the NHL Draft, which is tentatively scheduled to be conducted virtually October 9-10.
