The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Ryan Strome from the New York Islanders, in exchange for forward Jordan Eberle.

Strome, 23, appeared in 69 games with the New York Islanders last season, posting 30 points (13G, 17A) and 40 penalty minutes.
The 6'1", 199-pound forward has accumulated 126 points (45G, 81A) and 123 penalty minutes in 258 career NHL games with the Islanders. He has also played in 15 career playoff games, recording eight points (3G, 5A) and four penalty minutes.
The Mississauga, Ontario native set NHL career highs in 2014-15, registering 50 points, 17 goals and 33 assists in 81 games.
Strome has also played in 55 American Hockey League games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, accumulating 60 points (17G, 43A) and 55 penalty minutes in 55 games.
Strome has represented Canada several times internationally including, the World Junior Hockey Championships (2013, 2012), as well as the 2010 Under-17 World Hockey Championship.
