Having been injured when the Boston Bruins played at Fenway Park six years ago, Milan Lucic is truly excited about taking to the ice outdoors on Sunday against the Jets.
"Hopefully this makes up for the game I missed in 2010," Lucic exclaimed.
The Oilers had a full practice on the outdoor ice Saturday morning followed by a team photo in the orange game jerseys that they'll be wearing.
"It was a lot of fun to get out there. I think I speak for everyone; really looking forward to tomorrow and today's game with the alumni going out there. For me, it's going to be my first outdoor game. First outdoor experience. I'm really looking forward to it and I know the fans are as well."
The ice quality itself was also good, Lucic remarked.
"It was really good. The ice was really good. Moreso the trouble was once the sun got in there, you lose the shadow of the puck and that's where it gets a little difficult -- seeing the puck. I don't think there's going to be any issues with the ice. Hopefully the weather is like this tomorrow. It should make for a pretty good game."
