Video Review: MTL @ NYR - 6:24 of the First Period

At 6:24 of the first period in the Canadiens/Rangers game, the Situation Room initiated a video review because the puck entered the New York net. Video review determined that Montreal's Andrew Shaw used a distinct kicking motion to deflect the puck off a New York player and into the goal. According to Rule 49.2 (i) "A goal cannot be scored by an attacking player who uses a distinct kicking motion to propel the puck into the net. A kicked puck that deflects off the body of any player of either team (including the goalkeeper) shall be ruled no goal." No goal Montreal.
