OTT@VAN: Pettersson rips puck by Hogberg for PPG

Where there's smoke, there's a goal.

Elias Pettersson struck for a power-play goal with a dramatic plume of smoke in the air during the second period of the Vancouver Canucks' game against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday.
Pettersson's initial slap shot was stopped by Senators goalie Marcus Hogberg's mask, but the horn went off as if a goal was scored, and smoke filled the arena as play continued.
Seconds later the puck came back to Pettersson, and he ripped a wrist shot past Hogberg that actually was a goal, his second of the season.
Pettersson's was the third of four straight Canucks goals that lifted Vancouver past Ottawa 5-1.
