NEW YORK - Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Roman Polak has been suspended for two games, without pay, for boarding Columbus Blue Jackets forward Oliver Bjorkstrand during NHL Game No. 1086 in Columbus on Wednesday, March 22, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 1:00 of the third period. Polak was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Polak will forfeit $25,000.00. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
