Ryan Miller Game 2

Ryan Miller returned to familiar grounds on Friday.

The former Buffalo Sabres goalie banged the drum before the team’s game against the Montreal Canadiens in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Second Round at KeyBank Center.

Sporting his No. 30 Sabres jersey, Miller motioned for the crowd to get louder before leading them in a “Let’s Go Buffalo” chant.

The retired goalie earned a warm ovation from fans.

Miller played 11 of his 18 NHL seasons with the Sabres. He was in net for the Sabres during the 2006-07 season, the last time the team won a playoff series prior to this year.

Buffalo drafted Miller in the fifth round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. In 2023, the Sabres inducted Miller into their Hall of Fame and retired his No. 30 jersey.
