Dolly Parton Preds jersey

If you thought the Nashville Predators Hometown Remix jersey couldn’t get any more “honky-tonk,” think again.

On Tuesday, the team unveiled a special Dolly Parton jersey patch that will be worn on sweaters during warmups before the team’s matchup against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, Nov. 7 (1 p.m. ET; STLNHL, BN+, NHLN, SN+, SCRIPPS).

Modeling the new addition to the jerseys was Predators legend Pekka Rinne, who spent his entire 15-year NHL career in Nashville.

Rinne will wear the new patch to Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday, where he’ll participate in the ceremonial puck drop ahead of the team’s Hockey Fights Cancer Night matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes (8 p.m. ET; CARNHL, HHN, SN+, SCRIPPS).

The patches feature a golden butterfly – one of Parton’s iconic symbols – to honor the “Queen of Country,” who died in August in Nashville.

In addition to the patches, the warmup sweaters will have “Dolly” on the nameplates with each players’ number. After warmups, the jerseys will be signed and auctioned off through the Nashville Predators Foundation with proceeds benefiting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The Predators Foundation will also host a book drive during Hometown Remix games with donations going to the Imagination Library.
