KC GETTING HIS CHANCES
Kyle Connor got off to a tremendous start to the 2021-22 season with six goals and nine points through the Jets first five games. The Lady Byng winner has one goal and two points to start the 2022-23 campaign but there are no concerns amongst the coaching staff and there shouldn't be. Connor is getting two to three grade "A" looks each game and it's just a matter of time before those start going in. Connor, Mark Scheifele and Mason Appleton will be the team's top line again tonight against the St. Louis Blues. Connor has 21 points in 16 career games against the Blues.

SPECIAL TEAMS NEED TO BE BETTER
A consistent message from the coaching staff through training camp was that the special teams needed to be better this season for Winnipeg. Through five games, the power play ranks 23rd in the NHL at 14.3% and is 0-4 the last two games. The penalty kill has given up at least one goal in the three of the last four games including two in Saturday's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Rick Bowness wants to see improvements from both units and soon.
"Those numbers, they all have to improve, and they have to improve very, very quickly," said Bowness during his media availability this morning.
"It's another quick week. We're going to blink, and October will be over. Those numbers aren't good enough and they have to get better."
100 FOR STANLEY
Logan Stanley will dress in his 100th game in the NHL tonight. Stanley said his favourite moments so far is his first NHL game which came in Toronto on January 18th, 2021, against the Maple Leafs and the Jets home opener in October of that same year. It was the first game that his mom, dad and brother were able to attend with the previous season being played with no fans in the building. Tonight, Stanley will pair with Dylan DeMelo on the Jets third defence group.
