TRADE BOOST
Kevin Cheveldayoff was busy on Saturday making his first trade ahead of the deadline by bringing in forward Nino Neiderreiter from the Nashville Predators for a 2024 second round pick. Neiderreiter brings some size (6-2, 218) and some skill to the teams forward group. The Swiss forward has 18 goals and 28 points in 56 games this season with the Predators and is seven goals away from tying his career best 25 goals. Neiderreiter will not be in the lineup this afternoon against the Islanders and likely will make his debut with the Jets on Tuesday night against LA. This could be the boost the Jets need as they attempt to get back on track following a 5-1 loss to Colorado to kick off this three-game homestand.

FIND THEIR GAME
Thanks to the results from Saturday night (Avalanche and Stars both winning), Winnipeg is now in third place in the Central division with Colorado moving past them and Dallas pushing their lead to three points. Nate Schmidt was frustrated following the loss to Colorado on Friday night and simply said the Jets need to 'find their game'.
"Our guys are just unhappy with how they are playing. They are unhappy with our team game," said Schmidt postgame on Friday.
"Like I said before, we have to find our game here. Teams aren't going to just let us off the hook easy."
50 X 4
Mark Scheifele's two assists last Sunday to give him 50 points on the season, becoming the fourth player on the Jets to reach that mark this season. The franchise record for most players with 50 points in a season is five, which has been done six times in franchise history, including three times in the past five seasons. Blake Wheeler is seven points away from reach 50 points this season to make it a group of five.
