RIVALRY GAME
Two Central Division Rivals get together at Canada Life Centre tonight when the Jets host the Wild. Both teams are coming off losses and both had plenty of chances to win their respective games. The Jets dominated San Jose on Monday night outshooting the Sharks 38-24 in the 3-2 overtime loss, James Reimer was the story making 36 saves. Meanwhile, the Wild lost 1-0 in a shootout on Tuesday night. Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom was brilliant as he recorded his first shutout of the season making 40 saves. Winnipeg has dropped the first two meetings of the season with Minnesota scoring just two goals in those losses.

JETS PP WOES
Losing a one goal game on Monday, it's easy to look at the stat sheet and see that Winnipeg went 0-for-6 with the man advantage against the Sharks and see that as missed opportunities. Winnipeg was at one time in the top ten in the NHL in power play percentage and as of this moment they have dropped to 17th in the league in that department. The Jets need to get more shots to the net and one of the new looks to help with that is Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele switching sides on the first power play unit.
"The league is very well coached and very well pre-scouted, like our penalty kill. We know what the opposition wants to do, and Scott Arniel does a great job of breaking it down," said Rick Bowness this morning.
"They (the opposition) know where he (Kyle Connor) is, and we just try to move him around a bit to see if we can generate more shots."
FIRST GOAL IMPORTANT
The Wild are 8-0-2 in their last ten games just based off the way they have defended. Minnesota have given up 17 goals in the past 13 games, seven in the past eight and 12 during their 10-game point streak. So, with that in mind, it will be important that the Jets try and get the first goal of the game to force Minnesota to change the way that they play. The Jets are 25-9-2 when scoring first this season.
