of the Montreal Canadiens puts on a show for the future Queen of England. With then-Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh in attendance at the Forum, Curry scores three consecutive goals in the second period of a
6-1 victory against the New York Rangers
. It's the only hat trick of Curry's NHL career.

Maurice Richard
of the Canadiens scores the 323rd and 324th goals of his NHL career to

Theo Fleury

in a 4-2 victory against the Dallas Stars at Madison Square Garden. The assists come on goals by

2009: Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals
ties the NHL record for most multiple-goal games by a player in the month of October
. Ovechkin has his sixth two-goal game of the month in a 4-3 victory against the Atlanta Thrashers at Philips Arena.

2011:At age 42,
Dwayne Roloson
makes 28 saves for the
29th shutout of his NHL career
, helping the Tampa Bay Lightning defeat the visiting Winnipeg Jets 1-0. The victory gives Roloson a 10-0-0 record against the Winnipeg/Atlanta franchise.
2017: The Jets score a franchise-record five goals in the first period and
defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-1
at Bell MTS Place. Blake Wheeler scores three of the five goals in a span of 4:20, becoming the first player in Jets/Thrashers history to have a first-period hat trick. The Jets also set a franchise record by scoring three goals in 34 seconds.
2019: Alex Ovechkin passes
Luc Robitaille
for 12th place on the NHL's all-time goal-scoring list when his second of the game gives the Washington Capitals a
4-3 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs
at Scotiabank Arena. Ovechkin's 669th NHL goal also moves him past Robitaille for the most goals scored by a left wing. It's his 23rd overtime goal, extending his own NHL record.
