Lightning team scope

The Tampa Bay Lightning enter Tuesday one point behind the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference, though the Maple Leafs have a game in hand. The Lightning, who didn't have a morning skate, have won three games in a row, including a 3-2 road victory against the New York Rangers on Monday, and are 4-0-1 in their past five games. Forward Nikita Kucherov has 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in his past 10 games. He scored three power-play goals, all from the right circle, the last time the Lightning played the Ottawa Senators, a 5-1 win on Feb. 27 in Tampa. The Lightning are 3-for-9 on the power play in their past three games and are fourth in the NHL (22.6 percent).

Senators team scope

The Senators are on a season-high six-game winning streak and are two points behind the Montreal Canadiens for first place in the Atlantic Division with two games in hand. Goalie Mike Condon will start with Craig Anderson out with a lower-body injury. Coach Guy Boucher said Anderson is being evaluated Tuesday but did not have a timeline for his return. Forwards Kyle Turris and Bobby Ryan will return to the lineup. Turris missed three games with a finger injury, and Ryan missed 11 with a broken finger. "They're in a flow so you just try to catch on to that and ride that momentum that they're on," Ryan said of joining a team on a winning streak. "At the same time, you kind of walk on eggshells because you don't want to force the issue anywhere. You step into a system I'm familiar with, so I'll be comfortable in that regard, but won't take any chances early. You just try to get your feet under you."
