Tanev bobblehead

Brandon Tanev's viral headshot is taking a new form.

The Seattle Kraken will be handing out bobbleheads designed after Tanev's popular headshot before Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators.
Tanev has made a tradition of posing with a wide-eyed expression, and the bobblehead is making the same face.

The ritual of the unique headshot started in 2021 when Tanev played for the Pittsburgh Penguins. The photo went viral that year, and he's been making the same face ever since.
His explanation for the facial expression is that he saw a ghost when the photo was taken.
Others have imitated Tanev's expression, including
former teammate
Kasperi Kapanen and Seattle Seahawks running back
Deejay Dallas
.
Even the Providence College men's hockey team - where Tanev played college hockey - wants in on the bobblehead fun.

This bobblehead will certainly be a keeper for Tanev.
