tanev split dallas

Ghost-face headshots: They're not just for hockey anymore.

Seatte Seahawks running back DeeJay Dallas has gone with a direct homage to Seattle Kraken forward Brandon Tanev for his 2022-23 NFL season picture.
Dallas went with the raised-eyebrows look that made Tanev an internet sensation with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he later explained that he saw a ghost during the shoot. He then repeated it after being chosen by Seattle in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft.
The Kraken shared a side-by-side photo of the two players on social media.

This is seemingly no mistake or coincidence. Dallas went full fanboy for Tanev back in October while watching a Kraken game.

The NHL's newest team couldn't help but agree.

After Tanev was taken away from Pittsburgh, former Penguins teammate Kasperi Kapanen continued the
legacy of the seeing-a-ghost face
there. But now it has hit the NFL.
The only question that remains: Who's next?
