During Pastrnak's turn at the skills challenge, he came out on the ice wearing a Bruins jersey with the number 18 (Gilmore's jersey number in the movie) and the last name "Gilmore" on the back. Pastrnak took a slap shot using Gilmore's classic run-up technique, and then - after Bruins teammate Linus Ullmark came out dressed as Gilmore's caddie Otto (played by Allen Covert) - Pastrnak switched out his hockey stick for a putter and took another shot.
He missed the first shot with his putter and scored on his second attempt. He then celebrated in classic Happy Gilmore fashion, galloping around the ice riding the putter as if it were a horse. "Doing the bull dance, feeling the flow," as Potter (played by Kevin Nealon) famously says in the movie.
There's been no comment yet from Shooter McGavin, but we can only imagine he did not approve.
