The St. Louis Blues will meet the fifth-seeded Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Game 1 will begin Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 9:30 p.m. CT.

"Vancouver is a good team," said Blues Head Coach Craig Berube. "They've got a lot of young guys on their team that are really good players. They've got a lot of speed. They're a dangerous team offensively. They really come at you with speed. We're going to have to do a good job against Vancouver - checking and doing the right things. The other thing is they have a good power play."

The Blues were 1-1-1 against the Canucks during the 2019-20 regular season. Vancouver won the first meeting 4-3 in a shootout at Enterprise Center on Oct. 17, while the Blues responded with a 2-1 overtime win at Rogers Arena on Nov. 5. Immediately after the NHL All-Star Break, the Blues dropped a 3-1 decision to the Canucks on the road on Jan. 27.

The Blues and Canucks have met three times in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Canucks have won all three meetings (seven games in 1995, seven games in 2003 and four games in 2009).
