The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with goaltender Collin Delia (DEE-lee-ah) that runs through the 2021-22 season ($1,000,000/AAV).
Delia, 24, has posted a record of 6-2-3 with a 2.98 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 12 appearances as a rookie during the 2018-19 campaign. His .923 SV% shares 12th among National Hockey League goaltenders (min. 10 appearances).

Originally signed by the Blackhawks as an undrafted free agent on July 28, 2017, Delia has played in 14 career NHL games over two seasons (2017-19) with Chicago. He earned his first NHL win in his NHL debut on March 29, 2018 against the Winnipeg Jets.
The Rancho Cucamonga, California, native has also appeared in 45 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League over the last two seasons. Delia has a 2.58 GAA, .914 SV% and one shutout in those games. Prior to being recalled on Dec. 17, 2018, he led the AHL with a .933 SV% and shared third with a 2.34 GAA among qualified goalies this year. During the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs, Delia went 7-3 with a 2.34 GAA and .924 SV%, helping the IceHogs to the Western Conference Finals.
Delia also played in 10 games for the Indy Fuel of the ECHL last season. Spanning three seasons (2014-17) for Merrimack College, he appeared in 56 games, registering four shutouts, a 2.48 GAA and a .912 SV%. He was named a Hockey East Third Team All-Star after ranking ninth in the nation with a .927 SV% during the 2016-17 season.
