'Quest for the Stanley Cup' down to Final matchup in fourth episode

"Let's go to Vegas."
That's the message Washington Capitals coach Barry Trotz has for his players in the locker room after they defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Simple, yes, but extremely meaningful. This will not be a vacation, rather a business trip with the Capitals heading to the Stanley Cup Final, where they will face the Vegas Golden Knights after six weeks of thrilling, pressure-packed playoff hockey.
But in the fourth of episode of "Quest for the Stanley Cup," which will be available Friday on ESPN+ in the United States and YouTube.com/NHL in Canada, it appears the players and coaches in the conference finals have found a way to ease the pressure that accompanies a deep playoff run.
For Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant, that comes from spending time away from the rink with his grandchildren, who are getting an early education on how to cheer for their favorite team.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn spends part of his morning skate discussing a certain wedding in England with defenseman Andrej Sustr, and viewers get to see Lightning center Steven Stamkos call out the starting lineup as if he's an arena public address announcer.
Vegas defenseman Brad Hunt does his best to keep the Golden Knights loose with his own reading of the lineup before Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Winnipeg Jets.
Of course, there are games to be played and seasons at stake, and the Capitals keep their season alive with wins against the Lightning in Games 6 and 7 of the Eastern Conference Final, starting a celebration the likes of which forward Alex Ovechkin has never experienced.
Ovechkin is so thrilled to win the conference title, he not only defies the hockey gods by touching the Prince of Wales Trophy, he keeps the prize with him for every minute of the trip back to D.C.
The Golden Knights also touch the Campbell Conference Trophy, but in the locker room afterward, they discuss important issues, like how many calories forward Ryan Reaves packs into his postgame meal.
Those are just a few of the snippets viewers will see in the seven-episode series that goes on the ice, in locker rooms, inside the minds of the players and coaches and everywhere in between to give viewers an all-access pass during the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the pursuit of the Stanley Cup -- the hardest trophy to win in professional sports.
