ABOUT THE 'YOTES:
• Arizona will enter the game with 79 points, two behind Colorado, which owns the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference standings. Both teams have six games left; the Avalanche are idle on Tuesday.
• Darcy Kuemper will make his 18th consecutive start after stopping 24 of 26 shots on Sunday afternoon in a 2-0 loss to the New York Islanders. Kuemper stopped 55 of 58 shots in back-to-back road games played over the weekend, but the Coyotes scored just one goal in the two defeats. He ranks second in the NHL in goals-against average (2.45) and save percentage (.921) among goalies who have played at least 50 games, trailing only Tampa Bay's Andrei Vasilevskiy.
• Clayton Keller leads the team with 46 points. He's trying to become the first Coyotes player to produce back-to-back 50-point seasons since Shane Doan and Ray Whitney did it in 2010-11 and 2011-12. Keller has thrived vs. Chicago with three goals and two assists in five career games.
