PREGAME NOTES
Tuesday is the first of two games between the Devils and Canucks in 2016-17. The clubs will meet for their season-series finale on Jan. 15 at Rogers Arena.
New Jersey is 2-3-0 vs. the Pacific Division and is 5-4-2 against Western Conference opponents in 2016-17.
The Devils were 2-0-0 vs. Vancouver in 2015-16. Kyle Palmieri (OT) and Adam Henrique scored the game-winners for the Devils.
New Jersey is 2-0-1 at Prudential Center and is 3-1-2 vs. the Canucks overall since the 2013-14 season.

CANUCKS CONNECTIONS
Cory Schneider was Vancouver's first choice, 26th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft and played parts of five seasons with the Canucks from 2008-13. New Jersey traded the ninth overall selection in the 2013 Draft to acquire Schneider on Jun. 30, 2013. The Canucks used that pick to select Bo Horvat…John Moore and Derek Dorsett were teammates in both Columbus and with the NY Rangers; they were both acquired by NY in the trade that sent Marian Gaborik to the Blue Jackets…Brandon Sutter is the son of former Devils' Head Coach Brent Sutter.
