The Ducks moved into sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division with 93 standing points following a 6-3 victory over the New York Rangers at Honda Center. Anaheim extended its winning streak to a season-high four consecutive games, tying Washington for the longest active win streak in the NHL.

Anaheim improved to 9-2-1 since the end of its bye week on March 3, co-leading the NHL in wins and standing points (19). The Ducks also improved to 8-1-1 in their last nine home games and 16-4-2 at Honda Center since January 1, which ranks second among NHL teams in home standings points (32) and wins.
Ryan Getzlaf led all players with four assists, marking his seventh career NHL game with four-or-more assists (last: Nov. 24, 2015 vs. Calgary; 0-5=5). Getzlaf is one of only 12 NHL players to earn four assists in a single game this season and the first since Washington's Nicklas Backstrom on March 18 at Tampa Bay. Getzlaf has 3-17=20 points in 12 games since March 1, leading the NHL in assists and plus/minus (+15) while co-leading in scoring. He is also a "plus" rating in each of his last seven games (+13 during that stretch), including a +7 rating in his last three games. The Anaheim captain also ranks fourth among league leaders in overall assists (52) this season. With his second assists of the game, Getzlaf reached the 50-assist plateau for the second consecutive season and a franchise-best seventh time in his career. Getzlaf is one of three players, and the only Western Conference player, to reach 50 assists in each of the last two seasons (Erik Karlsson and Nicklas Backstrom).
Andrew Cogliano scored his 16th goal of the season and notched the GWG for a second straight game, the first time he has done so since Feb. 28-March 2, 2014.
Patrick Eaves tied a season high with two goals, his third multi-goal game of the season. Josh Manson notched his first-career shorthanded goal and has two goals in his last three games.
Ryan Kesler earned his 12th multi-point game of the season (1-1=2) and has 2-3=5 points in his last seven contests.
With an assist on Anaheim's power-play goal in the first period, Cam Fowler tied Chris Pronger for second on the franchise's all-time power play points list for defensemen and also moved into a tie for eighth overall on the club's all-time power-play points list.
Tonight's attendance was 17,174, a sellout.

Patty does a great job getting to the net and being around the puck. He works. That's the biggest thing. My game is getting those guys the puck. If have a guy who knows where to be, and when to be there, and can finish, that's a complement to what I need to do. He does a great job getting in on the forecheck.
On tonight's game
That's a good hockey team over there. We're finding ways to win hockey games. I didn't love the way we played in the first period, but we found a way to stay in the game and get a couple goals. When we can come out of the first period tied or better, usually we have a good chance to win.

I was hoping for this. Getzy is playing out of his mind right now. Just the way he possesses the puck, it makes it really to play on his line. And you have Ricky [Rakell] flying and making plays. We're getting some chemistry, and that's what I was hoping for.

We've been doing a lot of good things on the power play. They just haven't been going in. We hit a couple of posts the other night, but we're getting good looks. I'm glad Kes [Ryan Kesler] got a stick on that. Hopefully that springboards us.

We want to be playing our best hockey going into the playoffs. We have to keep getting better. Consistency is what we were missing. We had a month and a half to figure it out. Right now we're playing good, consistent hockey.

It was a back-to-back for them. They're a good team. We had their number tonight. With Henrik [Lundqvist] coming back, his first game, we took advantage of him.

On tonight's game
The schedule was in our favor. When you get a team that played the night before, and we were rested, you have to take advantage of that. We were more consistent in the third period than we were in the first two.
On the Rakell-Getzlaf-Eaves line
Getzlaf is the guy who stirs the drink right now. He's been real strong and his offensive numbers are proving that. From a lineup standpoint, we're as comfortable as we've been all year.

On the Rangers' defensive play
It's a team with a lot of size. We talked before about needing to be good there. They put a lot of pucks towards the net, that's a big strength of theirs. We didn't do a good enough job of picking up sticks and clearing the puck there. We put [Lundqvist] in a tough spot for most of the night.
On Lundqvist's play
He made some incredible saves to keep us in it and give us a chance. It's definitely not something he could've done more. We got an opportunity with one more game on this road trip, and I think our group is going to be pretty anxious there because we know what's at stake for us.

On the game
We wanted Hank [Lundqvist] to come in and hit on all cylinders, but I don't think we were all that sharp in front of him. We still had a chance to get those two points. We did some good things throughout the game. Three-to-three in a tough building going into the third, I liked where we were, but then they scored two quick goals and they defend. We weren't able to generate.
On the Rangers' special teams
We lost the special team's battle. You go through the night and talk about checkmarks to get to the playoffs, we talk about checkmarks within a game. You have to get the special team battles won. If you don't, you're going to have a hard time getting those two points.

On the third period
Well we made a costly turnover that ended up in a faceoff where they definitely caught the guys by surprise on the ice. Kesler shot it forward and their player ended up alone on that rebound there. There was miscoverage on our part. At the end of the night we had too many guys that just brought a 'C' game tonight and that's not good enough against a team that's playing as well as they are at this time.
On Lundqvist
It's a tough game. You look at their first goal, we miss an assignment on coverage out of the corner and the guy gets a tap in. Their second goal is a high deflection. There's not much you can do on that. The one I talked about, the other faceoff goal there where we missed coverage in front of the net. It wasn't an easy game, but as I know Henrik and as everyone does, he's going to get better.
