DETROIT -- Travis Konecny scored 27 seconds into overtime for the second straight game to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 3-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday.
The Flyers (24-16-8) have won four games in a row and eight of nine.

"We keep finding a way," Philadelphia coach Dave Hakstol said. "There were stretches where we weren't great tonight, but we got two more points at the end of the night."

Konecny scored 27 seconds into overtime for a 2-1 win against the Washington Capitals on Sunday. He also set up Sean Couturier's goal 18 seconds into overtime in a 3-2 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday.
"I don't know what's working -- it might just be that we aren't thinking out there, we're just having fun," Konecny said. "I always know [Couturier] is going to get me the puck in a good spot."
Couturier chipped the puck away from Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin and over the blue line before Konecny could clear the Detroit zone. He got his right skate on the blue line before touching the puck, and then turned, skated to the right face-off circle, and beat Mrazek from the dot.
"We won a puck battle and we got it on net," Hakstol said.
The call on the ice that Konecny tagged up and legally entered the zone was confirmed by video review.
"It was 100 percent onside," Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. "He made a heck of a play to stay onside, and the linesman made a heck of a call to call it onside, toell be honest."
Jakub Voracek had a goal and an assist, Andrew MacDonald scored, and Couturier had two assists for Philadelphia.

Jonathan Ericsson and Frans Nielsen scored for Detroit (19-20-8), which lost for the fifth time in its past seven games (2-4-1) after tying it midway through the third period.
"This is a tough way to lose one," Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg said. "We've got to start winning more games."
Mrazek made 28 saves on 31 shots after he had a shutout in his previous two starts, including a 3-0 win at the New Jersey Devils on Monday.
"I felt pretty good," Mrazek said. "I've played back-to-backs before, so that wasn't anything new, and every time you get ice time, it builds your confidence."
Ericsson put the Red Wings ahead 1-0 at 10:42 of the first period with his first goal in 40 games dating to Oct. 18. His shot from the blue line deflected off Flyers defenseman Brandon Manning's skate and past goalie Brian Elliott.
MacDonald tied it 1-1 at 1:10 of the second period, ending Mrazek's shutout streak at an NHL career-long 145:05 with a slap shot through traffic.
Mrazek made four saves between 12:38 and 13:08 of the second before Radko Gudas (13:28) and Manning (13:44) each hit the post.
"They were all over us in that period," Mrazek said. "We couldn't get the puck out of our zone."
Voracek made it 2-1 when he scored a power-play goal off the rebound of a Couturier shot with 37 seconds left in the period. Blashill challenged for goaltender interference, but the goal was upheld after video review.
Nielsen tied it 2-2 at 10:44 of the third when he beat Elliott from the edge of the crease.

Flyers forward Michael Raffl did not play in the third period because of a lower-body injury. He will be re-evaluated Wednesday.

They said it

"If you look at the shot clock, it doesn't look like I had much to do, but it seemed like a lot of work. They had a lot of great chances where they missed the net." -- Flyers goaltender Brian Elliott, who made 19 saves
"We're in playoff hockey, I think. We've got to win games. That's not to say we don't take a look at the big picture, but right now it is game by game, and we've got to find a way to win." -- Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill

Need to know

Konecny has had a point on four of Philadelphia's past five game-winning goals. In addition to the three in overtime, he scored the fourth goal in a 5-3 victory against the Devils on Jan. 13. … It was the first time this season the Red Wings have had the same goalie start in both games of a back-to-back. Mrazek had not done it since March 3 and 4.
