Wahlstrom

Oliver Wahlstrom agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the New York Islanders on Thursday.

The contract will begin at the start of next season.
The forward (6-foot-1, 207 pounds) was selected by the Islanders in the first round (No. 11) of the 2018 NHL Draft. Wahlstrom had 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 36 games as a freshman for Boston College this season.
The 18-year-old played for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in 2016-17 and 2017-18. He had 45 points (22 goals, 23 assists) in 26 games last season, finishing second on the team in goals and points, and led the United States Hockey League with a plus-30 rating.
Wahlstrom had four points (two goals, two assists) to help the United States win a silver medal at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.
