NHL 100: Glenn Hall

In celebration of its centennial season, the NHL released its list of the 100 Greatest Players to play the game. In the coming weeks, we'll be profiling each of the 14 former Blues to be named to that list.
When it comes to goaltenders, the St. Louis Blues started off strong. Aside from the team's first goalie being one of the best in franchise history, he would eventually be known as one of the best to ever play as he was recently named one of the NHL's 100 Greatest Players.

Glenn Hall was selected by the Blues during the expansion draft in 1967 and would be between the pipes for the majority of the Blues' first season, helping the team to the playoffs in its inaugural run. Although the team didn't win the Cup, Hall was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP, an honor not often given to a member of a losing team.
During his 18-season professional career, Hall recorded 407 wins and 84 shutouts, 16 of which were in the Blue Note
