Rangers alumni ring Stock Exchange bell

The New York Rangers were hoping to buy low and sell high at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

Their alumni celebrated the start of the team's Centennial season by ringing the bell at the Stock Exchange, a daily ceremonious event marking the opening of the day’s trading on Wall Street in New York.

The alumni group, including Hockey Hall of Famer Henrik Lundqvist, and 1994 Cup winners Adam Graves and Mike Richter, made their way downtown to take part in the iconic New York tradition.

With the team’s Centennial logo as a backdrop, the alumni rang the bell to kick off the day.

Last month, the team unveiled its special center-ice logo for this season, as well as recruiting former captain Mark Messier to introduce the new Centennial alternate jersey.

Throughout the season, the Rangers will be celebrating the milestone with special programming and initiatives.

The NBA’s New York Knicks sent the Rangers their best as the season begins, posting a photo of stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart rocking Rangers gear.

The Rangers drop the puck on their special season Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden (8 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN1, TVAS) as part of ESPN’s Opening Night tripleheader.

The evening starts with the Chicago Blackhawks visiting the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers at 5 p.m. ET (ESPN, SN1, TVAS) before the Rangers host the Penguins. Then, to wrap up the night, the Colorado Avalanche visit the Los Angeles Kings at 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN, SN1, TVAS).
