MONTREAL-- The Montreal Canadiens are happy to have ended a three-game losing streak before playing the Ottawa Senators in the 2017 Scotiabank NHL100 Classic at Lansdowne Park on Saturday (7 p.m. ET, CBC, SN, TVA Sports, NBCSN, NHL.TV).

Montreal defeated the New Jersey Devils 2-1 in overtime
at Bell Centre on Thursday, and Canadiens forward Andrew Shaw was already looking forward to playing his fourth outdoor game in the NHL.
"It's going to be cold, but it's going to be fun," said Shaw, who played three outdoor games with the Chicago Blackhawks. "I mean, I think it's colder for the fans, obviously. We're moving around, so we're sweating, and we have heaters on the bench, so I don't think it's going to play too much of a factor. But this whole outdoor game, it's fun. All the activities that are involved with it and playing outdoors like you're a kid again, it's a special thing to be a part of."

Montreal defenseman Jordie Benn has seen a forecast of 1 degree to 7 degrees Fahrenheit.
"I've been talking to [Shaw] and a couple of other guys in the room who have played in an outdoor game," said Benn, who will play his first in the NHL. "I'm a little nervous on how to stay warm, but I'm excited. We've heard minus-14 to minus-17 (Celsius), so it'll be cold for us, but credit to the fans who are going to sit there and watch the game and support whichever side they want to support. It's going to be a cool atmosphere, but it's going to be a little chilly, so hopefully I can dress warm."
Canadiens forward Tomas Plekanec scored his first goal in 18 games in overtime Thursday. He acknowledged that the cold weather expected Saturday will be a challenge but said he was more focused on the importance of the result.

"That's the way it is, but we need two points," Plekanec said. "Our mindset is going to be to win the game. Obviously it's fun, it's going to be a big crowd out there, a lot of fans from both sides, but two points are on the line and we need them big time, so that's going to be our mindset for that game."
