Situation Room: Landeskog's goal stands after review

At 0:35 of the third period in the Canadiens/Avalanche game, Montreal requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether Gabriel Landeskog interfered with goaltender Carey Price prior to his goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with the Referee, the Situation Room confirmed that the contact between Colorado's Landeskog and Price did not impair the goaltender's ability to defend his goal and had no discernible impact on the play. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 78.7 (ii, b) that states in part, that the goal on the ice should have been allowed because "the attacking Player's positioning within the goal crease did not impair the goalkeeper's ability to defend his goal, and in fact, had no discernible impact on the play". Therefore no goaltender interference infractions occurred.
Therefore the original call stands - good goal Colorado Avalanche.
Since the Coach's Challenge did not result in the original call being overturned, the Montreal Canadiens forfeit their time-out.
