Vasilevskiy to have color-changing mask again

Andrei Vasilevskiy's color-changing mask worked so well, he's going to use a similar one this season.
The Tampa Bay Lightning goalie,
who debuted a color-changing mask with Sub-Zero paint last season
, will don another in 2017-18, thanks to the mask artist company Sylabrush.

Sylvie Marsolais and Alexandre Mathys, the artists at Sylabrush, again were tasked with designing Vasilevskiy's mask, and they released the new version on Instagram on Saturday. The white paint will darken to blue at cold temperatures, revealing a Russian firebird on the front and left, and the Lightning's 25th-anniversary logo on the right.
"This season we did a matte and glossy finish on his mask," Marsolais said on Instagram.
Marsolais and Mathys debuted the Sub-Zero paint effects on masks for Vasilevskiy and Boston Bruins goalie Anton Khudobin last season.
Vasilevskiy went 23-17-7 with a 2.61 goals-against average and .917 save percentage. The 23-year-old is expected to be Tampa Bay's No. 1 goalie this season after Ben Bishop was traded to the Dallas Stars.
