While the challenge between St. Louis Blues goalie Jordan Binnington and pop star Justin Bieber might be postponed, it definitely has not called off.

Binnington said he still wants to get together and play against Bieber, a Toronto native, in a best-of-10 shootout challenge at some point.

"Hopefully," Binnington told Sportsnet. "It's kinda tough to do mid-season. I was trying to push it off until the summertime and hopefully we can find a good time to do it then and it works well for his schedule."

It started in early January and heated up later that month. San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl took things to another level when he wore a Bieber mask to face Binnington during the Save Streak event during 2020 All-Star Weekend.

Binnington stopped the Bieber impostor. What happens against the real Bieber is still to be determined.

"He's obviously putting in the work and he's preparing himself for it," Binington said. "We'll see. Hopefully it goes down and hopefully it's some good content, and it's fun, and it's for a good cause."
