Merry Christmas!
This is the gameday hub, where you can find all the latest news and information related to tonight's back-to-back match-up between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes in one handy location. Make this a regular stop throughout the day, as we update it with notes, videos, photos and more as puck drop draws near.
In a back-to-back situation with travel, the Hurricanes will not skate. We'll speak with head coach Bill Peters in the early evening and have any potential lineup updates to pass along then. Until then, all of your gameday-centric content can be found here.

CANES TO ICE SAME LINEUP
5:30 p.m.
Head coach Bill Peters confirmed that he will ice the same lineup utilized in last night's 3-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres, including Cam Ward in net.
"This lineup has been good for a long time," Peters said. "It deserves to stay together right now until somebody either falls off their play, the caliber of their play, the intensity of their play or an injury."
To refresh, that group will look like this:
McGinn-Staal-Lindholm
Skinner-Rask-Ryan
Aho-Teravainen-Stempniak
Nordstrom-McClement-Stalberg
Hainsey-Faulk
Slavin-Pesce
Hanifin-Tennyson
Ward

Here's more from the head coach.
On the team's outlook: "We're happy with the way we're playing. We're happy with the way everyone is finding a way to contribute within the framework of the team."
On the 60 minutes ahead before the holiday break: "We want to finish strong. There's no reason not to play well here tonight and see what it leads to."

CANES LOOK TO CARRY HOME COOKING INTO HOLIDAY BREAK
6:00 a.m.
Leading the Carolina Hurricanes into the three-day holiday break is their sixth back-to-back set of the season, and after holding on for a 3-1 win in Buffalo on Thursday night, the Hurricanes return to PNC Arena to host the Boston Bruins.
The Hurricanes' victory in Buffalo on Thursday was their fifth win on the road this season, and the catalyst was the 2-0 lead they established in the first period, thanks to goals in transition from Jeff Skinner and Justin Faulk.
"We were able to create turnovers and maybe catch them changing a few times," Faulk said. "We were able to get a few breaks with forwards to create a lot of chances."
"I thought a lot of guys had some good jump tonight," Jordan Staal said. "All through the lineup, everyone was skating well and doing good things."
Cam Ward made 22 saves on 23 shots, and Sebastian Aho sealed the Canes' win with an empty-net goal.
"We stuck with it," Staal said. "They made a nice play on the goal, but we did a great job to finish it off not giving them much else."
"They got a few looks, obviously the goal and maybe one or two others that we'd like to have back, but we'll take the win," Faulk said.
After unexpectedly having their game postponed on Monday night, head coach Bill Peters felt the extra rest, while perhaps beneficial in the short-term, affected his team's execution.
"I didn't think we were as sharp as we would have been if we could have kept in the rhythm of playing," he said. "I'd like a little bit more killer instinct moving forward."
The Bruins also played on Thursday and defeated the Panthers 3-1 in South Florida. Boston is markedly better on the road than at home this season, as they have compiled a 10-5-3 record away from home. Tonight is the first of two meetings in Raleigh between the two teams, who will face each other again early in the New Year.
Tonight is an opportunity for the Hurricanes to extend its home point streak to 10 games (8-0-1), their last regulation loss at home coming well over a month ago on Nov. 10.
CANESPR NOTES: Defenseman Noah Hanifin is a point-per-game player against his hometown team with four points (2g, 2a) in as many games. … Carolina is 6-0-0 this season when allowing just one goal.
