Formula 1 driver Alonso wears Canadiens jersey to event in Montreal

As Canadian Grand Prix set to begin this weekend, Spanish race dons home sweater

Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso showed up ahead of the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix wearing the jersey of the home team.

Alonso, the Spanish driver who won the event back in 2006, arrived on the scene on Thursday wearing a custom Montreal Canadiens jersey. Journalist

shared a photo of the F1 star heading to the Paddock Club on Thursday.

Alonso, set to compete in the Canadian Grand Prix beginning Sunday had on a home red Canadiens jersey with his name and No. 14, the same number that adorns his car, on the back.
The three-day Formula 1 racing event, which begins on Sunday, is held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
