THE FLAMES FINALE AT THE JOE
Tonight's battle between the Calgary Flames and Detroit Red Wings will be the 63rd and final meeting between the two clubs at the Joe Louis Arena. The Red Wings are slated to move to the Little Caesars Arena for the 2017-18 season, a new multi-purpose complex in downtown Detroit that will seat 20,000 for hockey games. The Flames have a 21-30-8-3 record at the Joe Louis Arena and have two three-game winning streaks in Detroit (Jan. 18, 1984 - Jan. 18, 1986, Mar. 12, 2009 - Mar. 9, 2010). Jarome Iginla is the Flames' franchise leader in goals (11), assists (18), and points (29) in Detroit. Miikka Kiprusoff is Calgary's franchise leader in wins at the Joe Louis Arena with seven.
