FACING THE RED WINGS
Last year, the Flames split their two-game season series with Detroit, picking up their 3-2 overtime win at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Oct. 23, 2015. Mark Giordano played the hero that night, scoring at 3:21 in the extra frame. Giordano also led the Flames in scoring against the Red Wings last year with two goals and four points.
In their last 10 trips to the Joe Louis Arena, the Flames are 5-3-2 and have alternated wins with the Red Wings in their last seven skates in Detroit.
