Forward J.T. Miller's deciding goal in the shootout gave the Tampa Bay Lightning a 5-4 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome, extending their point streak to 11 games (10-0-1), dating to Nov. 29.
The League-leading Lightning (27-7-2) are the only team without a regulation loss in December.
Tampa Bay matched the Colorado Avalanche (9-0-2 from Nov. 11 to Dec. 2) for the longest point streak in the NHL this season. There were four team point streaks longer than 11 games in 2017-18; the Boston Bruins had the longest, going 18 games (14-0-4) without a regulation loss from Dec. 16, 2017 to Jan. 25, 2018.
It's the third time since entering the NHL in 1992-93 that the Lightning have had a point streak of at least 11 games. The others came in 2003-04 (14-0-4 in 18 games), 2002-03 (7-0-6 in 13 games) and 2013-14 (7-0-4 in 11 games).
Lightning center Steven Stamkos, playing in his 700th NHL game, scored for the 11th time in as many games dating to Nov. 29. It was his 366th regular-season goal, moving him past Martin St. Louis into sole possession of second place on the Lightning's all-time goals lists behind Vincent Lecavalier, who had 383 in 1,037 games.
