Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Devils' six-game preseason schedule will consist of one home game and five road matches, ending the schedule in Bern, Switzerland as part of the NHL's previously announced Global Series Challenge.

The Devils open the 2018-19 preseason slate on Monday, Sept. 17 with a set of split-squad games: versus the NY Rangers (7:00 p.m.) at Prudential Center and on the road at Bell Centre to take on the Montreal Canadiens (7:30 p.m.).
The club will follow that up with three road tilts: Thu., Sept. 20 at NY Islanders (7:00 p.m.), Mon., Sept. 24 at NY Rangers (7:00 p.m.) and Thu., Sept. 27 at Winnipeg (7:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. ET).
Following the game against the Jets, the Devils will fly to Bern to participate in the NHL's Global Series Challenge- Switzerland. They will play an exhibition game against SC Bern on Monday, Oct. 1 at PostFinance Arena at 1:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CET, where 2017 first-overall draft pick and Brig, Switzerland native Nico Hischier and Winterthur, Switzerland native Mirco Mueller will play in front of their home country. From there, the team will head to Gothenburg, Sweden where they will open the 2018-19 NHL regular season against the Edmonton Oilers on Sat., Oct. 6 at Scandinavium at 1:00 ET /7:00 p.m. CET.
