With the 175th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, the Stars selected Francesco Arcuri on Saturday from Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The 6-foot-2, 201-pound center played for the Steel Wings Linz of the Alps Hockey League during the 2020-21 season because of the OHL season cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Arcuri led the Steel Wings Linz with 15 points (nine goals, six assists) in 18 games.

During the 2019-20 season, the Toronto, Ontario native posted 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 60 games as a rookie for the Frontenacs.
