Crawford back on ice, Blackhawks goalie has missed 16 games

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford, who has missed the past 16 games with an upper-body injury, skated Saturday for the first time in six weeks.
Crawford took the ice in Chicago while his teammates were in Calgary preparing to play the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome (10 p.m. ET; SN, NBCSNCH, NHL.TV).

"We'll see more tomorrow," said coach Joel Quenneville, who didn't have an update on how Crawford did Saturday. "We think we're going to get him on the ice [again] tomorrow."
Crawford hadn't been on the ice since Dec. 23, when he was pulled after the first period of a 4-1 loss at the New Jersey Devils. The Blackhawks placed him on injured reserve Dec. 27. Crawford is 16-9-2 with a 2.27 goals-against average and .929 save percentage.
Calgary native Jeff Glass will start against the Flames. The Blackhawks (24-20-7) are six points behind the Minnesota Wild for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference and have three other teams ahead of them.
