Blue Jackets team scope

The Columbus Blue Jackets set a franchise record for points in the month of November with 18 with their 5-3 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday and would set another November record with one more victory; they are 8-2-2 this month with two games remaining. Columbus had eight victories in November in 2010 (8-4-0) and 2015 (8-5-0). "Tonight, I liked all part of our game," coach John Tortorella said Friday. "Other than the last three, four, five minutes of that second period and a little bit on the 6-on-5, I thought we played a complete game. It was a good answer (following a 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday)." The Blue Jackets are playing their sixth back-to-back set of the season and are 2-1-2 on the back end. Columbus' 25 points are the second-most through 19 games in franchise history behind 26 points in 2010-11.

Panthers team scope

The Florida Panthers will play their last game at BB&T Center before embarking on a season-long six-game road trip that begins Sunday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr each have two goals in the first 20 games after finishing first and second on the team last season with 28 and 27, respectively. "It's going to come," forward Nick Bjugstad said. "They get chances. That's how this League is sometimes. It's just a matter of if you're generating chances and I feel they're doing that. It'll come. It comes in spurts. I'm sure (Jagr) by now has it figured out that it's going to go in eventually and when it does, it starts pouring in. They'll be fine. I have no worries about them." Barkov hasn't scored since getting a goal in each of Florida's first two games. "It's been a while, but you have to not think about that and whenever you take a shot you have to think I'm going to score right now," Barkov said.

Status report

Prout remains day to day. … Scott was recalled from Cleveland of the American Hockey League on Friday to replace Calvert but did not play against Tampa Bay. … Griffith is expected to play his fourth game for after being claimed off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 12. He was a healthy scratch for the past two games. … Huberdeau had the cast removed from his injured left leg and replaced by a walking boot, but coach Gerard Gallant said he is not close to returning to the lineup.

He's one shy of the franchise record for the month, set by Andrew Cassels (five goals, 11 assists) in November 2002. … Bobrovsky is 9-2-0 with a 2.15 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage in his past 11 games. … Trocheck has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in the past 12 games. … Ekblad's four goals in November have him tied with Shea Weber of the Montreal Canadiens for second-most in the NHL this month among defensemen.
