Avalanche jersey for NHL Stadium Series inspired by Colorado terrain

Portland, Ore./New York -- adidas, the NHL® and the Colorado Avalanche today introduced the special-edition ADIZERO Authentic Pro NHL® jersey specifically designed for the 2020 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™ outdoor game. Glimpsing into the future of hockey, the Avalanche's jersey draws inspiration from the Mile High State, and elevates the design into new heights, by looking to the Air Force Academy's Cadet Chapel and Colorado's blue skies, eminent landscape and renowned landmarks. Specially designed for viewing in a stadium setting, the jerseys are accented with larger-than-life cresting and striping.

The jerseys will make their on-ice debut on Saturday, Feb. 15, when the Avalanche will face the Los Angeles Kings® outdoors at the Air Force Academy's Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. (8 p.m. ET on NBC in the U.S. and on SN1 and TVAS2 in Canada).

● The team's blue, white and burgundy colorways are layered from the jersey's shoulder to its hem and represent Colorado's blue skies, snow-capped mountains and red rocks.
● The design features typography and numbering in a new, larger-than-life font.
● Angular design elements were inspired by the Air Force Academy's Cadet Chapel.
● A graphic inspired by the Colorado State Flag appears on the back neckline.
