Evgeny Svechnikov scored a tiebreaking goal with 5:45 left in the third period, and the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 at Little Caesars Arena.
After Thomas Vanek gave Detroit a 1-0 lead 13:07 into the first period, Patrick Kane and MacKenzie Entwistle scored second-period goals 1:38 apart to give Chicago at 2-1 lead at 5:08 of the second.

Andreas Athanasiou tied it 2-2 at 10:50 of the second. Gustav Nyquist scored an empty-net goal with 45 seconds left in the third period for the 4-2 final.
Patrick Rybar did not allow a goal making 10 saves playing the final 30 minutes for Detroit, after Jonathan Bernier made 11 saves.
Anton Forsberg made 13 saves on 14 shots, and Kevin Lankinen made 11 on 13 for Chicago.
