Connor McMichael, the No. 25 pick of the 2019 NHL Draft, signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Washington Capitals on Friday. The contract has an average annual value of $925,000.

The 18-year-old forward (5-foot-11, 174 pounds) had 72 points (36 goals, 36 assists) in 67 games with London of the Ontario Hockey League last season.

McMichael is the seventh player picked in the first round of the 2019 Draft to sign an entry-level contract. Jack Hughes, selected No. 1 by the New Jersey Devils, also signed Friday.
