THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…
STAT OF THE WEEK: Brad Marchandleads the NHL in goals (37) - matching his career high from last season - and is tied for the league lead in points (79).
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:Yeah, I was amazed. I was trying to get out of the way, to be honest with you. And after I saw that, just an amazing forecheck to strip the puck off of their guy and then I was trying to be with him and help getting to the net, and then he just made that move, so it's impressive - you're not going to see those goals too often, so you've got to take it all in I guess, when you see it - from your teammate, not from someone else." - Patrice Bergeron on Brad Marchand's game-winning goal in Vancouver on Monday night.
TWEET OF THE WEEK (WEEK 27): @GlobeFluto (Fluto Shinzawa, Boston Globe): "Milan Lucic joked he feels bad about taking Brad Marchand's shifts. No 63 could have gotten more points earlier."
HONORABLE MENTIONS:@NickGossNESN (Nick Goss, NESN.com): "Brad Marchand definitely wants 40 goals.
‪#Bruins
"
@_TyAnderson (Ty Anderson, WEEI.com): "Build David Backes a statue."
