Bruins-Sabres game on after skates canceled due to COVID-19

The Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres remain on schedule to play Thursday in Buffalo (7 p.m. ET; ESPN+. SNE, SNO, SNP, TVAS, MSG-B, NESN, NHL.TV) after each team canceled its morning skate due to NHL COVID-19 protocols.

The Bruins canceled their skate with forward Sean Kuraly entering protocol. The Sabres canceled their skate because a member of the hockey staff entered protocol.
Each team tweeted at 1:30 p.m. ET that "after further testing and contact tracing, as of now, tonight's game" will go on.
If the game is played, it will the first for the Sabres under coach Don Granato since he replaced Ralph Krueger, who was fired Wednesday.
The Bruins have had two players miss games because of COVID-19 protocols in the past two weeks. Forward Jake DeBrusk did not play in a 4-0 loss to the New York Rangers on March 13, and forward Charlie Coyle did not play in a 2-1 shootout loss to Washington Capitals on March 3.
Buffalo had six games postponed and its facilities closed because of COVID-19 protocols from Feb. 2-13 and had nine players on the protocol list during that span.
