STL@ANA: Barbashev gives Blues lead on doorstep

What is this, a rerun?

Actor Jon Hamm, a lifelong St. Louis Blues fan best known for playing Don Draper on the revered television series "Mad Men," called St. Louis Blues forward Ivan Barbashev's goal from the broadcast booth.
Again.

If you feel like you've read this before, well, you have.
Hamm was a guest in the Blues booth back in March 2019 and
as soon as he started talking
, Barbashev scored.
On Sunday, as soon as Hamm stepped in the booth the offensive fireworks started. As they always do.
Hamm and Blues announcers John Kelly and Darren Pang could not help but laugh at Barbashev's goal. Pang referred to the Blues forward as "your guy Barbie" to Hamm just prior to the score.
Hamm called Barbashev a "sparkplug" just as he had in 2019. That was pretty much immediately followed by the goal.
The Blues would end up scoring four unanswered goals in the second period, but Barbashev's is the one that really put the trio over the edge with laughter.

"You can't write this. You cannot write this," Hamm said. "If you wrote it, people would be like, 'No, this doesn't make sense.' You can't write this. I literally cannot believe that just happened. Are. You. Kidding. Me."
It may be time to start thinking about a remake of "The Manchurian Candidate" starring Hamm and Barbashev and the word sparkplug.
Or, at the very least, the Blues may want to think about hosting Hamm in the booth for every single upcoming Stanley Cup Playoff game.
