Blackhawks-Forsling 5-11

Defenseman Gustav Forsling was signed to a three-year contract by the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed per team policy.

Forsling, 19, had six goals and 21 points in 48 games for Linkoping in the Swedish Hockey League this season. He was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the fifth round (No. 126) of the 2014 NHL Draft, but was acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade for defenseman Adam Clendening on Jan. 29, 2015.
Forsling (6-foot, 183 pounds) had two goals and one assist in six games for Sweden at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship.
