Andrew Copp was awarded a two-year, $4.56 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets by an independent arbitrator Tuesday. It has an average annual value of $2.28 million.

The 25-year-old forward, who was a restricted free agent, had his arbitration hearing in Toronto on Sunday. He was the first restricted free agent to have a hearing this offseason.
Copp had an NHL career-high 11 goals and 25 points in 69 games with the Jets last season. He had five assists in six Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by Winnipeg in the fourth round (No. 104) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Copp has 84 points (36 goals, 48 assists) in 293 regular-season games for the Jets and eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 22 NHL playoff games.
