cogliano 11417

Anaheim Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for interference and an illegal check to the head of Los Angeles Kings forward Adrian Kempe.
The incident occurred at 3:41 of the first period at Staples Center on Saturday. Cogliano received a two-minute penalty for interference.

Cogliano, 30, has not missed a game since his debut with the Edmonton Oilers against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 4, 2007. His streak of 830 consecutive games is the longest current streak in the NHL and the fourth-longest in League history, after Doug Jarvis (964 games), Garry Unger (914) and Steve Larmer (884). He signed a three-year contract with the Ducks on Friday.
The Ducks defeated the Kings 4-2.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: interference/illegal check to the head. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
