Ducks team scope

Captain Ryan Getzlaf will play in his 800th career NHL game, all with the Anaheim Ducks. "It's another step along the way," Getzlaf said. "Obviously in this League, it's not easy. It's a tough League to be a part of, but all of those milestones along the way are big." The Ducks have won seven of their past 11 games and are starting to find some consistency. "I think that we like the depth of our lineup," coach Randy Carlyle said. "We have some interchangeable parts. I think that if you look at the way we're set up, I think we've been pretty consistent. This is what we planned more so than what we had at the beginning of the year." It's the final game of a three-game road trip (1-0-1).

Predators team scope

After a strong start to the season, the Nashville Predators power play has gone 0-for-17 in the past five games. Defenseman Roman Josi said they need to get more shots on net. "I think we're passing up some shot opportunities in the last couple games," Josi said. "The first couple games when we were successful, we shot the puck a lot so we've just got to get back to that." The Predators have points in five straight games (3-0-2). They lost 6-1 to the Ducks on Oct. 26 at Honda Center. "The only thing we take [from the loss] is to kind of have the mindset of being [mad]," forward Ryan Johansen said. "They kicked our butts in Anaheim so we're going to try to come in tonight and give it right back to them."
